First Impression Self-Reliance


 The first paragraph was honestly something like a reality check. Where he says you should believe in your own thoughts. I agree so much with the first paragraph because that is something I feel strongly about. I agree that everyone should start becoming their own person and not the person others want them to be. Like how Dr. Preston said " You're the only person living your life" i think people should learn from that and start making their own choices instead of being influenced by other people. Also what I wrote on my journal related to this topic to where i said we all need to start being ourselves before we end up like copies of billions of people we already have. Stay true to yourself be different you'll win like that stop following trends.

CUE THEME MUSIC

        I think the central message of the book is, Gatsby trying to re-live a memory or a feeling that's already dead for the other person. "Money won't buy you loyalty nor friends," is a big thing that happens in this book as it shows how Gatsby had may friends, lots of wealth, but at the end he rested alone with only 2 people whom mourned his death.
