The plot of this novel is to tell a story between race and medicine, a discovery of faith healing, and a daughter with a bunch of questions for a mother she never knew. One of the themes is racism in medicine, the author talks about how black people and white people would get different kind of treatments/medicine. She also says how black people had a more messed up medical system , they were taking advantage because of how uneducated they were, their boodies were used for experimentting new medicine. Based on my authors tone I imagine her as an early person who gets up and has her cup of coffee. I think my author is the type of person to eat something light, like fruit in the morning out on a porch or somewhere and just start letting her mind wonder into her thoughts.
